AML (Anti-Money Laundering)
The obligations that require a business to detect, prevent, and report the movement of criminal funds.
AML is the wider regime that KYC sits inside. It covers customer due diligence, ongoing monitoring of behaviour, screening against sanctions and politically exposed person lists, and reporting anything suspicious to the national authority.
For an operations team, AML is mostly a documentation problem. The rules rarely say a case must be decided in a particular way; they say the reasoning must be recorded, consistent, and available to an inspector. A workflow platform helps because the record is a by-product of doing the work rather than something assembled afterwards.
